COA To Offer To-Go Lunches Beginning July 6
The COA will offer lunches for takeout beginning Monday, July 6. The lunches will be primarily sandwiches, salads, and fruit. They will be available for pickup at each center from 11:30am to 12:30pm. You must call 48 hours in advance to sign up for a lunch to-go. At this time we are not able to provide lunch at the center for dine-in for safety reasons for our seniors and staff. COA Looking for Aides, Chore Worker
Do you have a heart for helping people in your community? If so, The COA is hiring in-home aides to assist seniors 60 and older that live in St. Joseph County. This position would assist the elderly in their homes with light housekeeping, laundry or grocery shopping and with some personal care tasks. We offer our aides up to 29 hors per week as well as travel and mileage reimbursement and a yearly retention bonus and tuition reimbursement. Applicants must be 18 years or older and able to pass a drug screen and background check. You must have reliable, insured transportation as well as a valid MI drivers license.
The COA also is looking for a part-time chore worker. This individual also would assist seniors with bigger tasks around the home, such as raking leaves, mowing the lawn, moving boxes, for example.

Support Groups May Not be Meeting, But Help is Still Available
The Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Support Group in Three Rivers is still not able to meet in person at our Three Rivers Center but you can still receive help over the phone or through a virtual meeting. Please contact Melanie Baird at mbaird@alz.org or call our 24/7 Helpline at 800.272.3900 with questions.
Our Kinship Care Support Group, which is for grandparents raising grandchildren, will not meet in July, however help is available. Just leave your name and number with COA Marketing Manager Ruth Mancina and she will make sure to pass your information on to the support group leader, Clark Fries.
